Tweet for a chance to win a haul of tea and products!

It's been quite the busy summer for me thus far. I've been buried in school work and working on other projects. I was recently contacted by my favorite green tea company and they're hosting a giveaway.

I thought, what's a better way to come back to the blog than to offer my readers a chance to win something? Well readers, Tg Green Teas is opening an online store and to kick it off they're offering one person to win a lovely prize:

The prize pack:
-3 bottles of ice tea (1 of three different variants)
- 2 packs of hot tea (1 of two different variants)
- 1 glass tea tumbler
- 2 x sample pouches of organic Tg green tea (2 pyramid tea bags in each pouch) to share with a friend/family member - or keep for yourself!

To enter the giveaway all you have to do is Retweet this tweet by me:

It's worth noting that this is the green tea I drink whenever I have a craving and the company is run by two hard working women who love tea. Supporting local businesses is so very important to me and I hope it is to you. Please stop by their online store.

Good luck!

Leah's Spring Tea Giveaway

International Giveaway!!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Hi friends! Since I had so much fun last time with my giveaway, I thought I'd do another one. I have two prizes this time. The first prize is a hand painted tea bag by artist Ruby Silvious (find her website here). She has donated this beautiful work of art for other tea lovers to cherish and enjoy. The second prize is Matcha green tea. I'm doing this giveaway with Rafflecopter, which makes it easier for you to enter and easier for me to find a winner. I've done a short interview with Ruby about the amazing prize she's donated. Below is the prize that can be won and then let's have a look at the interview...then to the giveaway process!

Above is the stunning painting done on a teabag that can be yours if you win the giveaway! Now to the interview with the amazing artist, Ruby.

Leah: How long have you been creating art?

Ruby: As early as five years old, when my Japanese great grandmother taught me how to fold my first crane. On the paternal side, I was inspired by my father, who was a self-taught artist and calligrapher. I remember drawing a portrait of my youngest sister when I was 15.

Leah: When did you start experimenting with painting on teabags, or pistachio shells, as I've seen?

Ruby: Two years ago, I read about a community in South Africa that produced handmade products out of used tea bags. The idea of reusing something that I was tossing out everyday, and creating something beautiful with it, fascinated me. By then I already had a collection of pistachio shells that I had been doodling on with markers when I discovered the common denominator. I've been working with recycled and discarded materials ever since. In addition to teabags and pistachio shells, I also paint on egg shell shards and origami-fold paper bags and crumb wrappers into mock brassieres. It's been fun!

Leah: How can people see your art if they're interested in purchasing it?

Ruby: Local museum shops in upstate New York carry my tea bag designs. You can also purchase my art on my website: www.rubysilvious.com

Leah: Why do you want to giveaway a piece of your art to the other readers?

Ruby: People have this notion of what traditional art should be. By bringing new life to everyday, familiar things, I hope to inspire new forms of creativity.

Leah: What's your favorite kind of tea? How many cups of tea do you have a day?

Ruby: I am, by no means, a tea connoisseur. Twinings' Earl Grey tops my list of favorites, with Ambessa's Choco Nut Blend a close second. I drink 2-3 cups a day and I prefer bagged tea - for obvious reasons!

Thank you so much to Ruby for donating this amazing work of art and for answering the interview questions. For those wondering, last giveaway winner Gary is very pleased with his prize. He sent me this photo of him with the tea a couple weeks ago:

The Results Are In! Congratulations...

This is the first giveaway I've ever done, but it certainly won't be the last. I had a lot of fun with this and I hope you did too. I'm pleased to announce the winner of the giveaway. But before I do, a little build up!

When choosing the winner it was a long complicated process. Well, not really, my boyfriend is an engineer and he makes me programs to do things on my computer and it makes it easier. I think you'll enjoy how the winner came to be. The first time I had the program pick a winner it chose my cousin, but she doesn’t count because she’s family. Sorry Emily! Then the next person that was chosen was someone who shall not be named, but her email subscription was not verified, making her ineligible for the drawing. Bummer. It seems like third time is the charm though, because then I found the winner!

Congrats...

Gary L !

I will contact you by email and then you'll tell me which country you're from and how you want your items shipped! All that I ask is you email me a photo of you and the tea, or at least some of the tea, so the readers know I delivered! I hope you enjoy the tea and if you have any questions or recommendations on how to brew any of the tea, I will be your guide.

The last part applies to any of you, readers. If you ever have any questions regarding tea, feel free to contact me! I'm always just a click away. :)

Thanks for participating, everyone. See you tomorrow for a review on some tea!
